How to Place Relevant AdSense Ads?

More & more webmasters are now using AdSense to generate residual income out of their website. AdSense is a means of revenue generation program where Google pays you when visitors click on the ads placed by Google on your page. To earn more you require more visitors. Generally visitors for your website will come to your website searching for information on the topic of their interest. When they see relevant ads in your page they will obviously click on those ads for require of information. So it is your responsibility to place relevant ads in your page so that the visitor is tempted to click on them. When the ads are irrelevant it will be annoying for the visitor & there's a possibility that you might loose that visitor.

Keywords are important

You must not create a page for placing AdSense ads. You must give your visitor some information of value. Remember people will be thirsty for information & this is the reason that they've used web & reached your page. People will always be searching to know more about their interest. If your webpage has useful information then they may bookmark your page & come back again & again. if your page contains few lines & more AdSense ads then the visitor will seldom come back to your page. You can also monetize your webpage by place ads from other web-sites that are relevant to your main theme of the website.

Meta tags are important

The keywords in your page are very important for getting relevant ads. With Google you cannot pick which ads to place in your webpage. Google crawls your page for keywords & places ads that are related to your keywords. it is important that the contents of your webpage are centered on specific keywords. This does not mean that you can fill your page with your main keywords. You must provide some readable content for the users centered on your main keywords. You can use keywords repeatedly in your content but they should make some sense.

Earlier Google used Meta tags mainly for finding ad relevancy. But as more & more people started cheating the crawler, Google has now reduced the weightage on Meta tags. But there's still example web pages that benefit from Meta tags. Always place your keywords & relevant description in your Meta tags as this is the first element looked at by crawlers.

Focus on the content

it is obvious that your web page will contain navigation bars & other side bars that contain less targeted items. Since Google crawler crawls the entire web site to decide on the relevant ads to be placed, there's a possibility that the crawler will determine to place ads in the page that are related to your side bar items which are undesirable. So you've to concentrate on the items in the navigation bars & target the same main keywords. Google provides AdSense section targeting device to the webmaster to force the crawler focus on specific areas in the webpage. You can use this facility to target your ads to the main keyword.

Don't move away from your theme

When you design your website, you will be entering contents in all the pages that are centered on a particular theme. it is advisable to focus specific parts of your theme in specific pages. If you page is tightly themed then Google places only ads related to that theme. When you deviate from a theme in the same page then you may get irrelevant ads on the same page.
